De Bortoli Australian Victoria Regional Reserve Chardonnay 75cl

We absolutely love this Australian Chardonnay. It does not have that " Oaky" taste that is associated with a lot of Australian Chardonnay. Serve chilled and pairs with most seafood and white meat dishes, or just drink on its own..........it really is a fabulous  wine.

Australia > Yarra Valley
Dry, White, Still wine
99.8% Chardonnay, 0.2% Semillon
Pale in colour with a slight green edge. Flint, citrus and floral notes on the nose. The palate
is fresh and lively, with characters of lemon and lime balanced by a gently textured palate.
Savoury notes finish the palate and give the wine nice length and depth of varietal
character.
About us
The De Bortoli family story is one of determination and triumph that started 90 years ago
and is now told, generations later, across Australia. Our heritage encompasses the
universal story of immigrants making good in an adopted land, the rise and rise of the
Australian wine industry and the tale of a hardworking and innovative family who considers
good wine, good food and good friends to be among the true pleasures in life. Today, as a
fourth generation enters the family business, De Bortoli is amongst the top wine producers
of Australia with vineyards spanning 6 premium wine regions.
Terroir
Fruit was sourced from a selection of premium vineyards from Dixons Creek, Yarra Glen and
Tarrawarra.
Viticulture
The fruit is largely sourced from vineyards in the Northern reaches of the Yarra Valley. A
terrific mild season with a good balance of flavour, texture and acidity. Quite fine and
composed.
Vinification
The fruit is gently pressed and allowed to settle overnight. The juice is then racked to both
French oak casks and stainless steel tanks for fermentation. Lees are stirred in late Autumn
to build more texture and flavour into the wine.
