This is a classic and fantastic wine which we are very pleased to offer. Based just across the river from Chateauneuf-du-Pape with similar soils and a similar winemaking practices, the vineyards of Domaine Clavel have crafted this rich, intense, southern Rhône red. This wine is predominantly Grenache, with Syrah and Carignan making up the rest of the blend.

Tasting Notes

Dry with a notable structure. This wine has a rich taste of red fruits, with light traces of sour cherry preserves and elegant spicy tones.

Accompaniments

Pairs wonderfully with roasted meats and rich game dishes such as duck confit, chili con carne or moussaka.
